Portland, Oregon – FoundationWorks Inc. is introducing a new proprietary product for the modular construction industry.  The Modular Support Column (MSC) employs the same technology as the company’s Primary Support Column, featuring a universal steel head and adjustment mechanism that is secured directly to primary structural components of a modular home.   The MSC was featured on a modular home by Nationwide Custom Homes, displayed at the 2005 International Builders Show, in Orlando, Florida.  Nationwide Custom Homes is a premier modular single family, multifamily, and commercial builder with locations throughout the Eastern United States.

The Modular Support Column provides the modular building industry with an engineered foundation for modular construction.  The steel plate head of the MSC is designed to adapt to different framing sizes, and retains the FW system’s ability to be adjusted assuring each MSC is providing perfect support throughout the home.  Because modular homes are built off-site, the FoundationWorks systems for structural support and the company’s Perimeter Support Wall (PSW) provide a complete foundation solution.
